Rho Chi Chapter

The Rho Chi Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated was chartered on May 29, 1971, in New Orleans, Louisiana. 

Rho Chi Chapter is the second chapter to be chartered in the MiddleSouth Region. Rho Chi Chapter has had three previous members to serve as MiddleSouth Regional Director: Jacqueline Raphael was the 4th MiddleSouth Regional Director – 1973- 1977; Hilda Williams was the 6th MiddleSouth Regional Director- 1983-1985; and Mary Garnett was the 8th MiddleSouth Regional Director- 1989-1993. The MiddleSouth Regional Luncheon is now named the Mary Garnett Luncheon.

Rho Chi Chapter also had members who held National offices: Hilda Williams was the National Organizer from 1977 to 1981, Betty Adams was the National Dean of Sponsor from 1983 to 1987, and Carolyn Mosley was the Second Supreme Anti-Basileus from 1997 to 1999; she was also elected as the 17th Supreme Basileus in 2001 and re-elected in 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
