Lambda Eta Alpha Beta Chapter
Lambda Eta Alpha Beta was chartered on December 1, 2012 as the second undergraduate chapter of Lambda Eta (Dallas/Fort Worth). Membership includes current undergraduate nursing students and recent graduates. The undergraduate chapter works closely with the graduate chapter for programs, projects, and fundraising.
In 2011, Marisol Sigala, a junior at Texas Christian University received an undergraduate scholarship from the Lambda Eta Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc. during its annual Glenda Daniels’ Scholarship and Awards Banquet. After hearing about the sorority’s history, mission, and activities, Ms. Sigala voiced interest to Undergraduate Sponsors, Traci Murray and Glenda Daniels, about joining the chapter. It was decided to pursue establishing an undergraduate chapter.
By the summer of 2012, information sessions were completed and required paperwork submitted. On October 16, 2012, the Undergraduate Sponsors, Dr. Janie Robinson and Dr. Glenda Daniels met with the interested young ladies and the charter applications were completed. Thirteen young ladies were able to complete all requirements for membership and chartering. They are committed to the mission of the Sorority and the motto “Service for Humanity.”
