Hello, I am delighted you visited the Rho Chi Chapter web page. Our chapter is located in New Orleans, Louisiana. My name is Norris M. Warner, BSN, MSN, and RN. I am the Basileus for the Rho Chi Chapter of the MiddleSouth Region of Chi Eta Phi Sorority Incorporated. I have been a Chi Eta Phi Sorority Incorporated member since 2006 with uninterrupted service. Rho Chi Chapter is committed to providing service for humanity and positively impacting the community. I am excited to be part of a great professional nursing organization.

Rho Chi Chapter was chartered on May 29, 1971, in New Orleans, Louisiana, by fourteen amazing Registered Nurses:

Rho Chi Chapter is the second chapter to be chartered in the MiddleSouth Region. Rho Chi Chapter has had three previous members to serve as MiddleSouth Regional Director: Jacqueline Raphael was the 4th MiddleSouth Regional Director – 1973- 1977; Hilda Williams was the 6th MiddleSouth Regional Director- 1983-1985; and Mary Garnett was the 8th MiddleSouth Regional Director- 1989-1993. The MiddleSouth Regional Luncheon is now named the Mary Garnett Luncheon.

Rho Chi Chapter also had members who held National offices: Hilda Williams was the National Organizer from 1977 to 1981, Betty Adams was the National Dean of Sponsor from 1983 to 1987, and Carolyn Mosley was the Second Supreme Anti-Basileus from 1997 to 1999; she was also elected as the 17th Supreme Basileus in 2001 and re-elected in 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Rho Chi Beta Chapter

Our Beta chapter was chartered on May 16, 1975, on the Dillard University campus. The Rho Chi Beta charter members are Sandra Birdsall, Vanessa Y. Brown, Patricia A. Ducy, Renee’ D. Durrant, Jacqueline Y. Hogan, Vanessa D. Holliman, Charlotte S. Hurst, Mattie Johnson, Vera J. King, Theda S. Ortique, Brunetta V. Reed, Anna M. Reynard, Connie Russell, Vanessa D. Savage, Cheryl S. Taylor, and Lois M. Williams. The grand president was Verdelle Bellamy, the grand organizer was Edna Batiste, and the grand secretary was Peola McCaskell.
